Three kittens, alone and without a mother, were discovered on the doorway of a Canadian household. People expected the cat to return, but neither a rumor nor a ghost from her appeared.

Unfortunately, one kitten did not make it to the end of the street. The remaining two were carried into the home and attempted to be bottle-fed as best they could.

Realizing that they couldn’t stop the occupancy, the house’s owners went to animal rights activists Chatons Orphelins Montréal (Montreal, Canada) for assistance.

The kittens were skin and bones when they were around five weeks old. They had trouble chewing and digesting their food. After receiving the activists’ permission, the family drove to Montreal (an hour away) and passed the crumbs around from hand to hand.

“The brother and sister who were placed in our care were in a terrible condition. “We gave them the names Maui (Red) and Athena (Gray) and began giving them medication and feeding them on time,” recalls Celine Krom of Chatons Orphelins Montréal.

The kittens were hardly able to hold their heads up since they were literally half their typical height for their age. Despite their frailty and frailty, they never abandoned or gave up on each other.

The inseparable brother and sister pushed each other and stayed close together; otherwise, they began to weep and look for each other.
