Australia is the birthplace of famous singer-songwriter Keith Urban. His romance with his future wife, Nicole Kidman, had a fantastical beginning.
According to an interview she gave to Vanity Fair, Kidman stated that she was secretly engaged to another guy when she first met Urban in 2005 at a “G-Day LA” event honoring the work of Australians.
However, the couple only dated for three months after their chance meeting before getting engaged.
This is what the actress had to say about their relationship: “There was huge attraction initially, and we got engaged after three months, and then we were married fairly quickly, but we didn’t really know each other. It wasn’t until we were married that we really got to know each other.
I believe that the age at which two people meet is significant. And I do believe in going with my instincts. I knew from the moment I laid eyes on him that I had finally found a place to call home. The same was true for him. That’s all we had, yet it was the foundation on which we built.
They’ve raised two lovely young ladies.
Despite succumbing to prostate cancer, Urban’s father Robert made a profound impact on his son’s upbringing.
To show his support for his dad and spread awareness, Urban attended the 2018 It’s A Bloke Thing luncheon in Toowoomba. However, the singer’s health was questioned after she was photographed by the paparazzi at the Sydney airport.
But he was there for a reason: to perform at a benefit concert for research into prostate cancer.
Since Urban’s uncles and other relatives have all been affected by prostate cancer, he feels compelled to raise public awareness of the issue.
Because Urban was willing to play for free, the luncheon event was able to raise $2,024,000, an all-time high.
This demonstrates that Keith Urban is not only a great father and musician, but also a kind and generous human being.
