Romeo the ginger kitten was born with a birth defect that gives him a little unique appearance from other cats. Because of this, he was never shown affection or had a person he could address as his owner. Romeo was despised and thought to be “too ugly.”

That is, until the good individuals at Santuario Compasión Animal in Spain intervened and provided this gorgeous cat with the opportunity to love and be loved! And thus the cat’s life began a much happier chapter.

“They told us that no one wanted him because he was ugly. But for us Romeo is not ugly, he’s a lovely little kitten who likes to play like the rest of the cats. And their differences make them special,” A Santuario Compasión Animal spokesperson told.

And all this time, the ginger boy was just as good as other cats – playful, affectionate, and absolutely adorable. All it took was for some sweet people to recognize that in him.
